My sister-in-law Ruth came into town a couple months ago for the New Kids on the Block concert (I’m jealous!), so I was able to spend some time with my neices Elli and Zion Nicole (she has my middle name, gotta love that!) and my nephew Gent.  We went to Chucky Cheeses, watched movies, and just hung out!  It was a great time and it was SOO good to see them and to be able to spend some time with them.  They’re seriously my little best friends, and it’s really hard for me now that they live all the way in Vegas.  I was very, very sad to see them leave (especially when I heard that Ellie cried most of the way home!), but very great to have the little bit of time that I had with them!

So I know this is a cooking blog, but I figured that why I’m blogging maybe I’ll write something about myself every once in a while?  Even though I love cooking, and I have more of a passion for it than most things in life, there are still other things that I enjoy, and other ways I spend my time.  Like I’ve said, cooking shouldn’t take all of your time, it should come second to actually living life.  So once in a while I’d like to share what I do with my life other than cook.  Hope you don’t mind.
